GAME PLAY
TURN SEQUENCE
-
News Phase: In the beginning of the game, each player begins a turn by taking a News Card from the top of the News Deck, displaying it and resolving its effects. News cards may affect market changes, start a bidding war and change players’ income or wealth.
If a player holds shares in the Media, change the player’s News Phase accordingly. (see “Media”, P#). All the news cards are explained in detail in News Cards section.
* A News Card must be displayed and resolved in the News Phase of the turn, with these exceptions:
-
Campaign news card.
-
Additional purchases news cards.
-
Banking Phase: the player receives income according to the player’s location on the Income Track, and then pays the Bank one installment of any standing loan.
-
Purchasing Phase: a player may purchase one market share per turn, in any open market, provided the player’s corporation meets the market’s Threshold Requirements. When a player buys a market share in a market in which the player already hold shares, the player does not occupy another share slot, but rather replaces the current share token with a share token with the new value. Each player can have up to 3 shares in each market.

ACTIONS
PURCHASING A MARKET SHARE
A Player may purchase one share per turn, unless otherwise stated in a News Card, in any open market, provided the player’s corporation meets the market’s Threshold Requirements. An open Market is a market that did not reach its Market Limit, as indicated by the Limitation Token.
Purchasing a share in a new market: When a player purchases a share in a market in which the player’s corporation has no previous shares, the player will place a Market Share Token in the value of 1 on an open Share Slot.
Purchasing additional shares: When a player buys a share in a market in which the player’s corporation already has previous shares, the player will replace the Market Share Token with a token with a value greater by 1 than the previous token. There is an absolute limit of 3 Shares per Corporation in each market.
After the Purchase, move the Influence Token and the Income Token accordingly, adding the new share’s worth to the previous positions.
A player may pay the Share’s price in cash with BGD Banknotes, or turn to the bank for funding, in which case, the player must pay back the Bank Funding Price in 3 equal installments in the consecutive turns. Upon receiving the Bank Funding, a player will arrange the Debt Cards in 3 stacks, as seen in fig#. The bank will approve the funding only if the player’s income, after the purchase, is equal to or greater than the individual installments. A player may only have one open Bank Funding plan at a time, unless the player’s corporation has 3 shares in the Banking Market. The repayment of the Bank Funding begins in the turn consecutive to the Bank funded purchase, after receiving the income according to the new position on the Income Track. When the purchase is carried out via bank funding, the debt has to be paid back to the bank even if the same Market Share has been resold.
The Bank Funding plan must be paid back in exactly 3 installments, no more and no less. In case of inability to pay the installment, for any reason, the player must resell any share to the bank or request a deal from other players.
